Managing Partner

Derk Rolff

Since his early teens, Derk Jan Rolff has been an avid yachtsman and never got tired of perfecting his own boats, while refitting them and putting them up for sale to finance the step to the next one he named them for sale. In 1996 Derk became partner in the brokerage house De Valk Antibes. There he sold several Yachts between 25 and 65 meters, such as the truly famous Lulworth, the Royal Huisman Maria Cattiva, the Moonen build Jumbo to a Royal Family, M/Y Nomad (now Bartender) and several Italian and Dutch new builds. After his return to The Netherlands, he became CEO of De Valk International. From 2020 he then chose to use this unparalleled yachting knowledge and sales experience for his long-awaited venture: Holland Yacht Connection, a brokerage firm uniquely dedicated to Dutch built yachts. During the period 2015 until 2020, Derk was involved with Northrop & Johnson Europe and founded Northrop & Johnson Holland.

Equally savvy working with both motor and sailing yachts, Derk Jan has represented international buyers and sellers and has been consistent in delivering high-quality, high-profile sales and guiding the clients during the process of building a new vessel. Some of his more noteworthy transactions include the 46-meter San Lorenzo explorer vessel Moka and Inception a 55-meter Heesen. His most recent sale is a 67-meter new construction Benetti Bnow, Holland Yacht Connection leads the yacht build management for her owner with a dedicated team of five carefully selected experts.

Due to his strong work ethics, reliability and knowledgeable approach, Derk Jan has cemented long lasting relationships with numerous (Dutch) shipyards, yacht designers, naval architects, captains and discerning clients worldwide.
